Female Target Mandain

i have a female target mandarin (along with her boyfriend) that has been in my tank for a while. this morning everything was fine and dandy, a little later i noticed she was almost completely white/ pale, then less than 10 min later she was back to normal color. everything was fine and she was acting normal. anyone have this happen to them before? and its nothing to do with the sleeping slimecoat paleness either, i know all about that. never seen her do that before and wasnt sure if it had anything to do with her and the male and mating possibly. oh:

i have seen mine do it, i think it may be a form of camoflauge for them to belnd into the sand bed. mine does it mostly at night when sleeping. and is like that for a while after waking up in the morning and first moving around

yah my two are like that also in the morn, however this was midday and she was normal color all morn before it... i had heard it could be a mating thing but im not sure and dont want to assume

Mine has done it a few times randomly through our the day. First time it freaked me out, but nothing ever happened to the fish.

It usually happens when the fish is stressed, you could have surprised it. A lot of fish do the exact same thing.
