Hi everyone,

I have a wrasse in QT right now as I got it from a shady LFS. I'm located in BC Canada so the ability to obtain fish medication since 2017 has been extremely limited, i have an unopened bottle with 3 unopened packed of "Fish Bendozole" but the expiry was 07/2019... is it still safe to use? I know the effects may be hit or miss but I'm desperate at this point as we cant even get Prazipro anymore:(

TIA

Yup! Safe to use. Results from the SLEP study on azoles found the two azoles they tested both had an average extension time of 5 years past the printed expiration. There have been a few other studies testing the efficacy of azoles, but as far as I know, all have agreed with the SLEP results.

Awesome thank you so much!!! Unfortunately the Wrasse in question succumbed to his symptoms before I could treat with anything.... my own fault.. shouldn't have bought from there I knew better.

Oh, man! Sorry for your loss. :(

Ahh it's okay, since the covid stuff we have been extremely hard up for marine fish up here and I took a risk knowing full well what the outcome could be. Live and learn. Just feel bad for the fishy.... wish I could have brought it back to health. Was a beautiful Juvy/Female Melanarus
