Few Apex Questions

So I'm looking at getting an Apex classic jr. I'm away at college so having my parents monitor my tank and over the last 3 weeks I've had my HOB overflow break siphon almost flooding my room, heater locked at off and dropped temp to 70. I'm looking at the Jr because of the temp probe and I also want to get the FMM module with the sensor so if my display begin to overfill it will shut off the return pump. More or less I want it as a security thing allowing me to manage the tank from my college.

So for the questions...

1. Can access the Neptune Classic Jr settings/info from my mobile phone or laptop when not on my home network?

2. Is it worth it for me to not go with the Jr? I'm only looking at the apex for the two features listed above. I dont have the budget to afford dosing pumps, leak detection, and all of the fancy features so I don't see the point in spending the extra $200-300. I also check salinity every weekend along with other tests, calc, alk, mag, etc.

1. Yes 100% you can Fusion can be accesses with your phone, tablet etc on any platfrom from any network.

2. No need to get anything more than the Jr if that is all the features you want..

I have the apex Jr and wished i would have went with the full controller at this point due to all the upgrades I have done overtime.

For the simplicity of what you're looking for the Jr will be perfect.

Instead of just the FMM I would maybe suggest getting the ATK package. This will give you the FMM with automatic top off and have two open ports to use for leak detectors.
