Few clicks with my new toy

So i tossed the macro for this shoot for my 70-200mm f2.8 is L lense just to see what i could get out of her with some tubes and i was semi pleased let me know what you guys think.

Then a dumb fish was showing off so i had to, my onxy clown names creamsicle by the girl freind

They really look nice, seems the closer you get they start to blur a bit,but the rest are real nice. Keep playing with it and post some more pics for us.

Because im using extension tubes insted of m macro which will get more in the pic closer but a little less in focused. Yea i got alot to play with with my new camera

Which macro lens do you normally use?

Looks like your aperture was f4.0, Try bumping it up to f11 or f14 and using a tripod for the coral shots. Also use an ISO of 100.

For the fish f4 would be fine, and an ISO of 400 or 800 would help keep the image clearer with less grainyness. Switch your autofocus to "AF servo" which will make the lens focus at a faster pace to "try" and keep the fish in focus.... but I'm not great at shooting fish so these are just things I've tried.

I'm sure Gary, Poseidon, or Junior can chime in with some great tips!

Thhanks alot for that, im nt sure what f i was at i do know it was low because i was shooting at high speed. Also my iso was at 800 i think. Ill try that and post up a new shot thanks again for the help. I normaly use the 100mm 2.8 canon.

Yup thats what I use most of the time...

You should be able to take some ****** fish pics with that 70-200 L though.

off to a great start for sure. things look good but soon will look better. looks like you got the white balance down. now back to that f stop setting..lol

Yes i feed all my chalice's like that every night. I cut a plascit water bottle in thirds then put it around it then pile on a little food(water bottle is so the tang and onyx's dont steel the food cause they will). In doing this all i noticed is one i spend alot more on food two i get better color and alot better growth.
