hello everyone!!

Most of my corals are growing quite quickly, but 1 of them has been closed for 4 days straight (only been in the tank 2.5 weeks fyi), and starting this morning my elegance has shrunk way down in size and has a "puckered" look around his mouth.

Anyone have suggestions for me?? Checked all my levels and they seem on par with norm.

ALK. 10.4
CALC. 440
N03. .5
N04. .05
Salinity 34.4 (maybe a little low?)
PH 7.99

Frog looks happy!
Other 2 not so much.
Last pic is the elegance normally

I would move them. Less flow and less light. I would NOT adjust water chemistry if everything else is happy.

This is how I tackle this problem when it arises at least

My elegances love it tucked under a large rock, on the bottom of the tank. My tank flow is very high

Have you dosed anything lately?

Yes, but nothing out of the norm. I have a 2 dosers adding alk and calc, but thats all so far!

This is my first tank, so i wont pretend to know much. :) tank has been up for 1 year, corals for 5 months

Hmm!! I did move my MP40s an inch, but didn't notice any more or less flow around the elegance. Fyi the tank is odd, around 5ft deep or so, and the elegancenis on the bottom shelf about 10in from the sand.

Any tips for the other coral? Not sure what he is?? Hes newer and im not sure what his requirements are.

Oh wow..... yeah, I’ve seen your tank.. That’s a whole other level of deep-reefing!

I would still just move them a bit and see if it helps. Maybe onto the sand but not shadowed by the rock maybe? Tough one for sure
