Hi Everyone,

I started my tank a year and a half ago with one large clown. I purchased another smaller individual, quarantined it, and added it a year ago and all has been fine until lately. Up until then, and still now, they host the same anemone.

The larger individual has started biting the face/lips of the smaller clown. Should I remove it, quarantine it, and treat it? If so, can I re-add it after? Or is it best to leave it in the tank to hope it heals? It is still eating, and not showing any signs of stress.

I have attached photos of both clowns. Please pardon the glass.

Thanks!

Love bites...? (sorry, couldn't resist) They're telling you to *clean the glass*... :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:
You can try to separate them for a while but there's no guarantee they won't go back to their same a**hat behavior afterwards.

So they look to be about the same size from the pictures. Are they nipping or like trying to kill eachother fighting?

Clown fish are very territorial at times. How big is your tank? If they are actively trying to kill each other I would separate them or end up removing one from the tank. Best of luck!!!
