Good afternoon fellow reefers,

I'm curious to know if it is possible that our fighting conch snail may have been eaten by our pistol shrimp? We have seen him snap at a smaller snail and pull it into his little cave, and we thought the conch might to big for him to handle. The conch is usually cruising around the tank, today is day 4 since we've last seen him.

Conch can burrow in the sand some, you may just be over looking him. Don't think the pistol shrimp would bother him.

Is it buried in the sand by chance? Edit: already posted above

They will also eat items in the sand or on the surface while buried. See mine buried with his trunk out eating all the time
