I am planning my first reef tank and wanted to add a fighting conch, not only as clean up crew, but because I also think they looked pretty cool. Will it be able to survive long term or should I stick with nassarius snails?

Size-wise, it would be alright, may require supplemental feeding though depending on how much you feed overall :)
What should I feed, nori, frozen shrimp or something else? (I don't live in the states, so I don't have access to branded frozen food)

It will get what it needs from the sand and it will clean algae off of your glass. If the tank is always clean you could hang a small section of seaweed on a clip closer to the sand and it will locate that and consume it slowly.

While waiting for my current tank I had my livestock including the same conch in an IM25 Lagoon and it was fine for a year.

Ok, thanks.

If I did put one in, I wouldn't need nassarius snails, right?

I would still get some nassarius snails. Just make sure your sand is kinda dirty. I have them and I still clean my sand bed but my tank is almost 1 year and I feed everyday.

What about:
1 Fighting Conch
2 Nassarius Snails
5 Astrea Snails
3 Hermit Crabs

Would that be a good CUC?

You will still want some N snails as well as the conch will be lest likely to go fully under the sand. Mine always moved through but towards the top of the sand. That said, i dont believe there will be enough food in their on a regular basis, so you may want to drop nori tied to a rock in there for him too.

Ya. That seems like a nice choice!
