Anyone keep a Fighting Conch in a bare bottom aquarium? Any issues? I know they are known as sand stirrers, but is sand mandatory?

I will be filling my 30 gallon tank soon and am thinking about the CUC. It will have a black starboard bottom. Plan so far is 5-6 Dwarf Red Hermits, 5-6 Cerith snails and 2-3 Trochus snails. I find the Fighting Conch to be a fascinating creature and would consider it even if its cleanup regimen proved minimal. Thanks

If you really want a conch, you could add a sandbed.
But, I would not recommend a bare bottom.
