Ok well I was fighting higher nutrient levels in my newer reef. Tank for a few weeks. I had 2 canister filters on the tank that have now been removed for a month. Have done 4 larger water (50+%) changes with RODI water in the last 2 weeks. Shut my lights off for 3 full days. It improved dramatically! But I have now had the lights back on their normal schedule and it is starting to make a comeback [emoji35] [emoji35] . I have been feeding very minimally. Like half a cube every other day.

I'm using uv sterilizer and microbacter7. I'm also dosing phytoplankton oceanmagik from algaebarn to outcompete the dinos. I have some old rocks that spent 2 years in bucket in the garage. The dinos re-appeared when I put it in a new tank. I can tell I'm winning the battle because the dinos have retreated to a couple final patches on the rocks.

I think if you try a couple of these methods or Dr. Tim's Waste Away you will see some good results. The gel version is supposed to work well.
