As the title says I am trying to figure out the best way to combat low nutrients or if it is even necessary
I have a 52 gallons system total im primarily growing acros but i cant seem to raise my nitrate and phosphate above 0. The only filtration i run is a miracle mud refugium, filter sock, and a carbon reactor. I only have 3 fish due to having a 32g display.
As i see it my options are add fish with heavier bioloads, Manually feed more to the tank, Reduce light intensity/Time on over fuge, or Manually dose pure nitrate and phosphate.
I also dose 10ml of acropower/other aminos daily to help offset the lack of nutrients though that never raises my nitrate or phos
Basically which of of those methods would you all recommend focusing on or can i provide the right chemicals for my acros to grow and color with aminos and not need any readable amount of nitrate or phosphate.
Parameters
Nitrate, Nitrite, Ammonia, Phos 0
Cal 500 - Alk 9.55 - MG 1200
Ph 7.8-8

You could just...not run miracle mud and the fuge (or run for far less time). These things are not “must haves” and mainly serve to reduce nitrates and phosphates. They’re the last things you want to use on a nutrient deficient tank unless you’re committed to target feeding your corals 5-6 times per day. Everyone who’s telling you that you need X amount of nitrate reduction (including the internet) is throwing you under the bus. For reference, I run neither and keep acros just fine. You really want to run equipment that addresses a current issue and not a potential one that may or may not ever be an issue because they tend to create other issues that’ll plague your system.
