I got a Digital Aquatics RLK Plus, and I am about ready to shoot it. It will not maintain calibration on temp, the single most darned important feature of the controller to me. I have used a new (sept 9 order date) Molex plug temp probe, and a new Itemp probe (shipped Sept 11). The temp displays are different between the itemp probes, and as much as 9 degrees off from my display (2 coralife digital thermometers, 1 in the sump and 1 in the display) this has nearly killed my tank, as the temp showed 79.8 degrees but the tank temp was actually 71.2. Is there anything anyone can think of that I can do or do I just dump the system and go Apex?

As a person who experienced the exact same thing (and more when I had mine), if you can afford to do so, dump it and get an Apex before it fries your tank like it did mine. You will not regret it whatsoever. .

I run an Apex with their std temp probe with no issues/variances but would think that it's not your DA unit but the actual probe that would be off ??? Is the temp readings always off by 9* +- or does it vary throughout the day/week ??? I've heard that DA's customer service is fairly good and seems that they would just send a replacement to you.

Cheers, Todd

Tj I would just blame the probe but it is 2 different probes that have the exact same issues
