i know little about this company and was wondering if anyone on r2r could steer me into a few to find valid feedback for the company. They have a small sump I’d really like to use.

I completed my first build back March. I built my sump out of a 40B using a fiji cube baffle kit.

Thank you it is working out well so far.

Only thing I did was I ended up removing the foam strips from the bubble trap because I noticed large pods getting trapped there

@Bayareareefer18 the diy looks good! I would attempt a baffle kit im just not very krafty. The big thing that I was wondering was what the noise is like going into the sock area. Since the drain/sock area is pretty much the same as the model you put together, would you say it is pretty quiet?

Extremely quiet. I have no noise from the sump to speak of. Only noise I really have is the water flowing through the teeth on my overflow weir

DIY is super simple. Just measure your compartments for your equipment and hold the baffles in place with tape. Silicone them in with aquarium safe silicone

The sock area is a set size. Then I measured for my skimmer footprint and return footprint and then made my fuge as big as possible

The drains drop into a chamber then overflow across the sock plate. As long as you submerge the ends of your drains just slightly you will have no noise.

I am currently running an experiment with a red sea filter media cup in place of one of my socks. Tired of cleaning socks as expected
