i thought I would take some time and introduce myself...I have been around saltwater since I was a kid (my step dad had a tank with crushed coral, under gravel filter and bio balls) and I have ran tanks for 10 years or so...mostly nano/picos, as my budget has not allowed much bigger and I have only lived in apartments, so space and size is available.

However, about 3 years ago, I got a customer cube from envision acrylics made 24x24x24, it was a mixed reef and was successful...but I was laid off and had to move into my parents with my wife...it went into storage and I kept it, full well knowing I was going to set it up again, as soon as we were out. The time came, we moved out and into our new apartment. Well in our lease it had said I needed to let them know that I had a tank, so I asked them and the manager said like 25-30 gallons, so that meant selling the old 60 and getting an 18x18x18 made from envision and getting it set up. That happened and they came through with the new manager for their yearly reviews and they saw the tank and LOVED it...I told them the story about being told I could only have a 30 gallon and they said that was not true...they said as long as my renters covered a bigger tank they were fine with something bigger...so now I am having another cube made (since the old one was sold), it will again be made by envision and will be 24x24x26...

So the tank details...

24x24x26 acrylic, black back external overflows and euro braced.
Lighting - 2 Oraphek pr-25's UV's, 2 21w 15-20k bulks, and new custom LED's for more supplemenation (this has been the set up over my current cube and everything have been doing stellar)
Skimmer - swc 160
Ozone - TMC V2 ran through skimmer
Media - GFC, Cardon and Purigen

The tank will be purely ultra acans and a sand bed ric garden...I have done SPS, softies, LPS and by far, for me, nothing can beat the ultra acans that are coming out...so that will be the focus and ric gardens are just to dang cool to pass up.

The fish list will be a blue spot jawfish, a tomani tang, leopard wrasse, sand shifting goby, bi-color blenny, percs...and some more colorful fish...

I also have a frag tank set up which house captain *****, my baby wartskin angler, he is currently in a 2 gallon pico (he is no bigger then a half dollar right now, so its fine, but he will need a bigger space) and it will be perfect, because he does not swim much, the shallowness will be no problem...but I just bought a shop owner who was closing his doors out or his ultra acan stock...so it will also be a grow out tank for tons of acans and then transferred into the main display and then as things grow out, they will go in there...for frag swaps and to support my habit, lol...

Now that I went on a diatribe...lol...I look forward to future posting here...

Sounds like a plan, looking forward to your progression. Any pics of the old tanks?
