Fiji Cube Sump HELP. What is this part?

I just got the sump for my 40b build today. I unpacked it, removed the film from EVERYWHERE, and assembled all the various parts. It took a bit of time, but I was able to figure out where everything went. It would be really nice if they had any sort of directions or even a parts list.

Anyway, there is one part in the return section that I have no idea what it is for. Check out the pics. Can someone please help me? I am sure it is a simple answer, I am just missing it.

Agreed, looks like it might be designed to have an ato’s float valve installed, as it looks maybe just slightly large for the hose itself?

Can you take another picture of where this is mounted in reference to the rest of the sump?
I was thinking probe holder? Or possibly float sensor. Looks to have adjustment settings, so likely ato float I would assume.

Thanks for the thought. I thought about that as well, but the hole is 3/4", which seems pretty large for an ATO hose or float.

Looks like it’s height is adjustable, I'd assume it is a holder for a float valve for an ATO. Following.

It also looks as if there is a notch in the removable acrylic cover over it to accommodate a wire.
