Hello,

i have a blue marine 60 nano reef tank with a nice layer of fine fiji pink live sand & it is grouping alot of detritus & algea...
at the moment i have 2 sand snails but they don't seem to clean alot of it. Would a conch help?

Are there any tips from other (nano) reefers on how to clean the fine sand without too much flying dust?
Maybe some special type of vacuum?

Thanks in advance! :)

yes conch would help. Are you saying you only have 2 snails in a 60 liter tank??? You definitely want more. You also need to ensure flow is sufficient such that no detritus is resting on the sand. Mount your pumps high up to avoid sand disturbance.

2 sand snails, 1 bee snail, 1 trochus & a whole bunch of other snails wich i don’t know the name of black ones… my flow should be pretty good
