I'm familiar with the African and Sumatran phenotypes but not with the Fijian. Does the Fijian have a different color scheme than the others?

The representative of the mckoskeri complex within Paracheilinus that is found in Fiji is P. rubricaudalis, not P. mckoskeri.
Thank you.

Blue Zoo has McCoskers for sale listed as being from Fiji. That threw me off. Must be a typo.

Paracheilinus was reviewed last year. The species from the mckoskeri group from the Pacific are shown in figure 20.

Vanuatu representatives are rubricaudalis.

Fishbase is in sore need of updating. IUCN does not list Fiji or Vanuatu as part of mckoskeri range.
