Fijimud Ideas?

I added Fijimud to my refugium and am already happy with initial results.

the one thing I do not like is that itNs like moon dust. If a hermit crab in the fuge moves, it kicks up a dust storm that effects my display tank.

does anyone had a remedy for this? I plan to just add sand on top to help settle it down. Anyone do this before? Any other ideas?

It's been a while since I used it. That was back in the day of Marc Weiss and F.O.R.M (Funky Old Reef Mud).

I kept mine in a Tupperware container for easy changing and removal. I also covered it with about an inch of crushed coral, so that should work for you as well..

You could also add a filter pad at the outlet or before the return pump to contain particles or you could use egg crate right on top of the mud so it does not blow around.
