I found a rather large aiptasia in my sump. I know where it came from and I thought I had cleaned it all off the GSP I got. nope, missed a few apparently. it's in a hard spot where I can't reach to get rid of it by hand or AptasiaX. I don't want them making their way into my DT (if it haven't yet).

I'm thinking about getting a file fish to keep in my sump for a while until I am confident the aiptasia is gone.. but long term, how would they do in a reef tank once I move it to the DT? would it eat my corals, even if I kept it well fed?

I don't want to buy a fish JUST to eat and clean up the aiptasia only to return it once they're gone. I'd like to keep it long term

if a filefish is a bad choice for a reef tank, any other suggestions? I don't want peppermint shrimps.

They are great reef fish. I would personally just throw 2 peppermint shrimp in the sump lol
