Hello!
I have had my filefish for about 2 or 3 weeks and he's been doing fine. We got him from a very trust worthy fish store that quarantines and treats all fish for 3 months before they even bring them out for sale. On top of that, my parameters are all testing fine constantly for months. My alk was a little low this morning but we dosed it back to normal. We have to dose alk almost every other day or every three days. I have 2 wrasses, 2 clownfish, a blenny and a goby that have been in the tank for months, some even years. All the fish are fine except the filefish. Filefish has been struggling to swim and being pushed around the tank by the wave pumps all morning. We put the net in the tank and him in it so he's stable as soon as we woke up and saw. He's struggling to breathe in the net currently.
I am wondering if he ran out of aipastasia but I can still see a little in the display so I didn't think he could be starving. Any idea's on what could be causing just my filefish to struggle to swim and breathe? Can I dip him in anything to help his chances of survival?
Thanks!
