Hi all I want to start filling my tank but haver got and rodi system yet. Is there any conditioners I can buy to get the chlorine and other nasty a that hurt fish out of the water without using rodi . This is only to fill my tank . When it's time too water change il be using rodi water thanks

Don't do it. You will regret it from now on. What ever you put in the tank now will be there for quite a while. There is nothing you can put in the water to take stuff out. Chlorine will leave the water if you sit it out open for a day. It's really not the chlorine that will hurt, it's the nutrients in the water. These same nutrients have the potential to grow algae by the bunches. Start off right with RO/DI water and your tank and you will be so much more tank. Patience is something you must have in this hobby, nothing happens fast or comes easy.

How am I gonna get 450 litres of rodi water from lfs? Is ok to pour waste into the tank then ad the salt afterwards . Also is ok to to cycling without live rock as I haven't got the money for that as of yet. While cycling shall u still do water changes thanks for your time

The rock will cause a cycle as well.....and if it's "dead" rock, will first have to be cured.

Wait until you have the money to do it right......with the rock and an RO/DI system

How do u cute dead rock. I would like to do my own rodi water but am not afraid as it looks very complicated. Where is the rodi system to use ?

I agree on waiting for the RO/DI water which gives yourself the best chance at a successful tank. Can it be done with tap water and conditioners....yes, but it isn't worth the possible (most likely) problems down the line.

Fear and no funds are not a good combo for this hobby. RO/DI systems can be purchased from ebay for around 100 bucks. You hook it up to your existing under sink area. You can make 50-100 gallons a day with a cheaper system. Save and study. That's what I am doing. I've done it wrong twice and that is not going to happen again for me anyways.
