Filling up tank for water change

What are you guys using to fill up your tanks for a water change? I want to do ~10 gallons every week for my 75 gallon tank. I have a 13 gallon garbage can hooked up to an rodi system. Right now the garbage can is sitting next to the tank with a small pump and heater in it mixing the salt and getting the water up to temp. I was going to use the pump that's mixing the water to fill the tank but it's pretty small. 80gph. The 80gph doesn't seem bad but a 1/4" hose fits to it and it seems like that would take forever to fill the tank back up.

I change 5 gallons at a time and I use a maxi jet 900 or 1200 with 1/2 inch hose. Takes a few mins

I have a maxi-jet to pump the water from my sump down the drain
and another maxi-jet in mt SW bin to pump in the fresh SW.

I do a water change by just flipping switches

Even more so I have the pump (Maxi-jet) in the sump set at just the right level to pump out the correct amount.
So I can flip the switch and walk away (knowing it takes about 10 minutes to pump out that amount and not more)
Then when I come back I turn that pump off and the intake one on that is also set to pump in the correct amount.

Does the pump turns off automatically if you can't come back?

Even more so I have the pump (Maxi-jet) in the sump set at just the right level to pump out the correct amount.
So I can flip the switch and walk away (knowing it takes about 10 minutes to pump out that amount and not more)

Not at present but they seem to be able to handle running for a short while as they are not
completely dry, but sucking a lot of air to the point that the pump is no longer pumping water.

And so far you have not forgotten to come back ever?

I had some accident when I was making RO/DI water. I went away for a few minutes and 1 thing led to another, water was every where on the floor. My behind was chewed up big times

So I took the RO/DI to the back yard and of course I let it run over night 1 or 2 times ; And yes I got chewed up again.

Now, I put an alarm on my pocket if the water is being made so I won't forget it again. However, 1 or 2 times the alarm malfunctioned LOL
