filter cartridge replacement?

My filter cartridges have carbon in them, but i am currently medicating for a bacterial infection, which requires me to stop use of carbon. How can i replace a cartridge? My filter currently has no cartridge. Can I use some fabric or something

Nothing needs to be in there for the duration of the treatment.
As long as the filter is running you will be fine.

theres no cartridge inside. My cartridges have carbon inside. its running practically empty. it just disturbing the surface

That’s fine. The whole idea of the carbon cartridge is to remove chemicals…the exact opposite of what you want to do. Just replace when done treating.

you should look into getting a mechanical filter too, but thats a separate issue. carbon is not a replacement for mechanical filter either way. You need surface agitation to get oxygen in your water, so leaving the filter running is fine (with no carbon while you have meds in the water).

carbon is not mechanical filtration. What filter do you have? Might be able to put filter floss in it

I know, my cartridge is 2 in one. It is made of a filter floss like material on the outside. And has carbon on the inside
