Filter cups for Trigger Sys. Sump?

I have an Emerald 34 sump with the strange oval shaped filter sock holders. I want to get filter cups for it instead, but the opening above from the top of the sump narrow, so a Red Sea cup doesn’t fit.

Might bust out the Dremel on the sump, but I’d rather avoid making any permanent modifications to it. I was hoping someone might be able to point me to a manufacturer they’ve used that works for it. Thanks!

Hello,

I would contact BRS to see if they sell media cups. If not, hit up the 3d printing thread. There are people here that can print something for you so you don‘t have to cut up that nice sump.

That's what I did for my Emerald 26 sump. I 3D printed several different adapters for the filter cup. But I agree that it's a pain. The cup had to be kind of squished to get it into position and into my new circular (non oval) cup holder. But once it's in, you generally never remove the cup, you only remove the filter floss in there. Ultimately, I went back to the socks. I thought they did a better job.
