I'm having a fast growth of filter feeders (I think) underneath my Ricordea. (See attached pic.) Is there any harm in leaving them? Will they bother the Ricordea?

(This 1.5-inch Ricordea has only been in my display tank for a month. When I moved it from from my QT a month ago, only the one feather duster in the middle was there.)

Looks like a sponge. I had a large amount for a couple months that went away on their own. I wouldn't worry as long as it isn't encroaching on the coral.

I have the exact sponges under my ricordea they don't bother it.

Good to hear - thank you for the validation.
