So I have a Seachem tidal 55 filter I use. It came with matrix which I have never used. My tank has been running for about 3 months now. I'm wanting to take the matrix out because it's takes up way too much space and cause the filter to bypass a little. I'm wanting to put some chemipure in and other stuff but I can't with the matrix in there. Should I just leave it or should I take it out and add some more bacteria when I do. Need some advice

Well the question I believe you need to ask is do you need more chemical filtration because the matrix is biological filtration? If you remove the matrix what will you have for bio filtration ? If you have plenty of rock and sand in your tank the matrix can probably go.
