Okay so question here I’m not to worried about getting tank and all supplies 100% sanitized with vinegar rinsing scrubbing and letting dry the only thing I’m worried about is the power head and filter pump from the HOB filter. I can soak these easy but do they even dry inside the actual pump in the filter? I’d assume it’s hard to get them to dry being it has such an enclosed housing. What’s the best way to get this sanitized?
Edit: this is a QT tank btw and had velvet inside it so I’d really like to get it 100% sanitized

I assume that you treated with copper - ? If so - that should be all that is needed. If you need to use the tank quickly, you can use a diluted (9 percent - UNSCENTED) bleach solution - make it by using 1 cup bleach per gallon of tap water. You can just run the tank with the bleach solution - which will disinfect it. It should not take long. Rinse well by running the tank with tap water - and Chlorine neutralizer. You can also use a chlorine neutralizer (plain sodium thiosulfate) - which is less expensive than something like stress coat, etc. (Many LFS carry it).

Also - You can also get a residual chlorine test from a pool store, etc. I would use double or triple the dose of chlorine neutralizer.

If youre soaking these components, they will get saturated. Pumps can be taken apart and impellers and cages removed for cleaning. Cold water rinse after done
