So I have a Seachem tidal 55 filter I use. It came with matrix which I have never used. My tank has been running for about 3 months now. I'm wanting to take the matrix out because it's takes up way too much space and cause the filter to bypass a little. I'm wanting to put some chemipure in and other stuff but I can't with the matrix in there. Should I just leave it or should I take it out and add some more bacteria when I do. Need some advice

This is in your 20 long system, right? Looking at your build thread you have plenty of live rock and good flow with the MP10. You shouldn't have any issue pulling it out and using something else. With your tank only being 3 months old I wouldn't pull all the matrix out at once. I would pull 25% per week and remove it over a month.

a I didn't know if pulling it all out at once was a good idea. And yes it's my 20 long build. The filter I have is great it's just I think the matrix doesn't allow stuff to flow properly through it causing water to bypass

No reason to run the matrix in it. That is one of the main functions of the rock in the system. In fact, there really is no reason to even run that filter unless you want mechanical filtration or use it to run other media like GAC.
