i have a biocube 32 that is toward the end of cycling. Im not currently using any kind of filter, it has dry rock and live sand that i rinsed very thoroughly. once it completes and its cycle and i make how ever many water changes it takes to get my nitrates down from 80 ppm (current level), what filter media should i be looking into? i don't want to harm the bacteria that i just spent time growing? i do have the in-tank media rack and have seen almost everyone uses filter floss but from there it gets crazy. will activated carbon and filter floss be fine or should i look into keeping purigen or chemi-pure blue in the tank as well to prevent algae and other problems. or just wait till the problems show up and go from there? thanks for any help its much appreciated!
