Do I clean my filter sock during cycle of a new tank?

You can, but not necessary. Filter socks should be clear ed when they become dirty and the flow through them is lessened. Probably not a big issue during your initial cycle.

A quick rinse in RODI water should be sufficient during your cycle if they start to get clogged.
