filter sock with tubing ideas

I am looking for ideas on how to use a filter sock with tubing for overflow instead of pvc. I had to use 1 1/4 inch tubing for my overflow, so it's bigger then anything I could find to connect it to a filter sock holder, like the cpr sock it. I would rather not just stick it in the filter sock itself if I can avoid it. It is also not very flexible. So I am looking for ideas (with pics if possible). I have even considered sticking the filter sock in the pipe on my overflow box, but thought that might be a silly idea lol.

I used the 1 1/2 tubing into a PVC fitting into the sock.

Works great and very silent. I made the sock holders from food safe freezer bins that you can buy from HD or Lowes for about $6.
