Filter sock

Hi - quick question for all the gurus out there…should I wait to finish cycling my salt water tank before placing the filter sock back in? Or should I added it in a few days after I begin the cycling?

I would put the filter sock in as soon as I started. Just to collect any particulates that make their way into your tank. It could also slightly help the cycle because you're adding surface area for the beneficial bacteria to house.

Wait till you have cycled. You keep them in beneficial bacteria will attach to them and when you take out to clean your removing the beneficial bacteria. So I would wait as I have for both my tanks
