Filter socks-conch snail ?

Question 1

call me a diva aquarist- but i always buy new filter socks-not a fan of cleaning in my wash machine-

Know some say they just spray then down with sprayer and are almost as good as new-

so i cleaned then all just sprayed down rinsing off all the muck-doni let dry a d put back in, put back in wet, curious about being rinsed down with tap water-dont want to cause any harm to tank as it always is doing relatively okie dokie

question 2-love my conch snail i added 6 months ago-how many would you recomend in a 180g aquarium

Q1: You can machine wash them in OxyClean as well.
Q2: If these are your only sand sifters, 6-8.

I run my filter socks on washing program with extra rinse and use unscented bleach only, no detergent, then just dry them for few hours.

Consensus I’ve read is to machine wash socks. I switched over to filter floss because it is easier. Filter floss seems to be doing the job but I can’t imagine it’s doing better than the socks.
