What is the best size micron to get for filter socks ?
200 ? Is 300 thicker?

Depends how often you wanna clean them… I run 75 micron and they still foul out after 4-5 days.

The smaller the micron rating, the finer the particulate removed and the faster it will clog. Micron rating has nothing to do with the thickness. More so how tightly the filter fibers are.

A 200 micron mesh filter sock (very thin) will not catch nearly as much as a 200 micron felt sock which is thicker.

200 micron is pretty common and my go to.
