I generally wash mine once a week in the washer with a little bleach and let them air dry.

I have 4 and change out as they clog/get dirty. I wash in washing machine twice when I'm out of spares. About every three months I put a little bleach in the first wash. Second wash just a rinse. Have been doing it for years.

I'm changing mine in my 90 every 4-5 days. they are very easy to make if you can sew or now some one who can. My wife made me 30 of them and the cost us bout 23 cents apiece

I run an empty load in the washer with some bleach to clean it out first. Then I put my sock in with some bleach "regular" not the splash less. I wash them and add an extra rinse cycle and let them air dry. So far so good! [emoji41]

What is the difference between the regular and splashless bleach?

I swap mine out every 3 to 4 days. I wash them in the washing machine twice without bleach and let hang dry.

Oh I didn't take it as that. I simply meant I should have been clearer in how I asked it.

What is the difference between the regular and splashless bleach?

I have used the splash less kind and didn't have any per say adverse effects but I did notice my skimmer acting weird after I used that type. It made my skimmer go nuts for about an hour.

Like I said I didn't have any adverse effects, just something I noticed. I went back to the regular bleach and it never happened again.

Got the fabric at the local fabric store Jo Ann's. It's felt can't remember the exact type. I searched on here for DIY filter sock and found a thread oh how to make them. I will take a picture later when I get home for you.
