Filter Socks

I bought some from a LFS that they said was for the bubble trap area. I guess I will be ordering some more stuff from BRS

Time to switch to filter floss!

This was the best decision I ever made. I HATE socks and was at the point where I stopped using them. Floss is so simple and easy!

Great thread. I think I'll try the cup route. I'll replace one of my socks with a cup and floss and see how it goes. I welcome less maintenance time.

So I am rolling the dice today......

I could not stand the socks being full again already today and ran to walmart and bought poly-fil. 100% Polyester Fiber Fill that says no added chemicals or flame retardants.

Running 3 cups with the poly-fil as floss.....

My question is how much is to much, I started by filling them but then as it would compress the floss it slow the flow, if I got in there gave it a good "fluff" we would be back up and running.

I also wish when I ordered this DIY sump kit I would have asked for 7" sock holders the 3 4" just don't seem to be cutting it
