i have an eshopp sump that uses the filter socks below they are square anyone know of a website that sells them in bulk for cheaper? only have 2 now and i have to wash them every 2 days

I had the eshopps 300 older design. I went thru what you did. I never came across any bulk or other brands to fit. The 300 had the 7inch rectangle. I will say compared to 7 inch round I use now for my bashes they are not too much more. I usually get my 7 in round for 9-11$. Brs has the eshopps for 14.

To help extend my socks I stuff some filter floss in them. they trap a lot of detris before it lands on the bottom clogging up the sock.

I had 4 I put in rotation. Honestly I found them to be nitrate factories that i have to change all the time. I got sick of pressure washing and bleaching all the time so I just removed them. I added chaeto sandwiched in eggcrate right below my drains with a grow light hitting it from the side.

Every week I stir gunk along blowing off rocks with a powerhead. That's when I add my socks. Then I take them out the next day. I ran into the same problem as you. The socks were expensive and I couldn't find a good bulk price.

If I go back prefilter then I'm using a cheap box with pillow stuffing.

I have 3 sets and have gone to mesh style and rotate them weekly.
Mesh requires a hand rinsing under 5 minutes then as good as new.

Are you running the mesh on a eshopps style sump with rect filter slots? If you can get a pic I'd appreciate it.
