Okay, so I bought a Power Filter 10 from TopFin and its supposed to support tanks up to 10 gallons(My tank is a 5 gallon by the way) and I got it yesterday from PetSmart with one of my friends and a couple hours after it was plugged in it randomly stopped working, so we took it apart and reassembled it, now Today when I got home it wasn't on and I didn't notice until later. It was plugged in, no water has been on the cords, I literally have no idea what is wrong with the filter

When it stop working, can you hear the motor still running? or is it completely dead? I'd take it back and exchange it. If it's only a couple days old they should swap it out in store for you.
