Filter/Sump Socks

Hello people,
Dumb question. What is the life expectancy of a filter sock? Mine are starting to look "dingy" lol

I have had them for several years. Washing in bleach to clean them then reuse. I throw them out when the sock itself is deteriorating but not based on color.
