Filter system

I have a 72g bow front fowlr with a wet dry sump running through a pad filter, bio balls. And then a protein skimmer. What else could I add to my filter system to make it better?

Are you trying to remove excess nutrients or just trying to improve water quality? Any chance of incorporating a refugium somehow? I also like the addition of chemipure elite or chemipure blue to remove some nutrients and in general improve water quality & clarity Best of luck
