Kinda scared to ask this because I feel dumb.
But I am currently running an Aquaclear 70 on my 10 gallon reef tank. Works well. I have an AI Prime with a flex arm mount. And an AutoAqua Smart Micro ATO.
My problem is that because my water level does not reach the top of the tank, the filter will produce small microbubbles when the return water hits the surface of the tank water (poor wording, sorry). To raise the water level would submerge the AI Prime flex arm mount part. I am worried that the screw will rust over time.

Is there anything I can do? Any advice is appreciated.

Thank you :)

Hmmm......is the rest of the mount made out of metal or plastic? You can probably find a plastic screw in the same size if you want to try that?

I've also seen people connect (maybe with a rubber band or something?) a thick piece of cheese cloth to the bottom of the 'ramp.' The water will flow down that some, but you'd want to make sure it's secure and goes all the way across.

Actually, I was thinking the same thing, with replacing the bolt. Any idea what size it is? Worst case, maybe I can just take it to the store and see if they have one... once this virus thing is over.

No idea on the bolt. you could always secure it to the wall via an anchored in zip tie or something. But that’s a hole in the wall.
