This is a biological sand filter i had on my tank that clogged up inside and stopped working.i have now opened it up and cleaned it out.my question is,is there anything i could use it for now that could be benoficial to my reef tank.it has 2 valves one to connect a pump and the outlet valve.just thought i may be able to use it for something

This looks a lot like a carbon tower- or a mineral tank.....might be able to re-purpose for carbon or another resin...

Its a quiksand fluidized bed bio filter. But was a sealed unit.had to take bottom cap off to unblock all the inside so that will need to be siliconed back on when i re fill it
