What exactly is clouding the water? Is it particulate matter or does the water just look cloudy regardless? For the former mechanical filtration can be very useful. For the latter sometimes doing nothing is your best bet. Let nature take it's course. (bacterial bloom?) GL.
Idk I'm new to this I use a rodi system and have a canister filter but it seems to never get clear?
There are reefs on here using just about every type of filter imaginable with crystal clear water. And most of the time is the experience of the reefer that determines success.

Ive had crystal clear water with just bioballs. And gross water experimenting with newer high tech options. Results will vary based on the reefers understanding of the system employed.

If have a local club, or reefer whose tank you would like to copy. Your best success would be to learn how they operate their tank and mimic.
