Good morning!
when does everyone replace all their filter cartridges on their RO system? Is it after so many gallons? I replace the carbon filter when it turns colors, however the other 3 filters do not do that... I have a 4 stage system. TIA!

Carbon filter changes color? Carbon is black, and will not change colors when it is depleted. DId you mean DI resin?

Anyways, I change my DI resin when my output is 1TDS. I usually change my other filters(minus the RO membrane) every other time I change my DI resin.

But I have fairly clean water at 21TDS incoming.

Confirm that DI Resin should be changed when it can no longer output 0 TDS water. How long that is depends on the TDS going in, and how many gallons per week the system is making.

I replace all pre-filter stages every 6-8 months. RO membrane itself typically lasts 3-4 years. I change it when tds starts creeping up. And the di gets changed as needed based on tds reading.

I also have my ro system supplying ro water to my refrigerator and a faucet at the sink in the kitchen, I replace that inline filter once a year.

I replace sediment & carbon every 6m. Then the di whenever the tds meter reads 2. I have 200 tds water. I use my dual sensor tds monitor mainly as my guide. If the tds heading to the membrane gets highler than norm then I change then same with after the di filter.
