Alright so my 120 gallon is 60"× 18"×29". I was wondering what type of filtration yall would recommend for it to be a reef tank? Unfortunately it's not drilled and I can not use a over flow box either.

Can you drill it? Even if not the bottom, possibly the side or back? Anything else would be hang on somehow.

No way to drill it. I mean my 75 gallon has two hang on marineland filters but I don't feel like two hang on emperor 400 would do the job as good for that size tank

How did this turn out? Seeing another of your threads and it is a 60" long. I have one the same size and drilled it. Why can't you drill it?

All of my tanks have been sumpless. I honestly been contemplating on the canisters because the one I tried on my 29 gallon reef drained 4 gallons on to my floor and the people I talked to for customer service blew it off and told me I did something wrong. Even though when the water was leaking from was the wire port to plug into the wall. Seems to me a manufacturer malfunction. I really like the fluval brand but no one I know uses canisters only sumps or hang on marineland filters.

The reason I can not drilled it is because the stand I have isn't built for any type of sump. Also where the tank is I can not put it on the outside since I have a nosy great dane that gets into everything. Also if I may ask what lights are you running on yours?

I am planning on a dual 250 MH currently. If I switch it will probably be to hydra 52 hd. I have a 26hd over my frag tank and love it.

Last set up I ran three Kessil 360we over it and liked that as well. Just want more then white and blue if I go led again

Ya see I would love to do the kessils but I would need to do the 360s and I'm a poor college student so that's not really in the price range.

It took me a while to buy them due to the cost. But I did like them. Only reason I haven't gone hydra is I already have the MH. Old setup was under the stairs and I didn't want the extra heat or I would have used them then.

Ya completely agree I would go with t5's but I hate the amount of heat they put off and it would be ten times more in cost later down the road than the best led you can get on the market.
