plumbers and experienced reefers, is it ok if i seal the teeth at the bottom and only leave the ones up top open? i’m wanting to add filter floss at the top teeth so that it can skim the surface a bit more if that’s how it’d be done.

(it’s a 30g all in one)

the sump chamber opens up at the bottom vs the top so i’m not sure if thatll be an issue or if it’ll decrease the gph being circulated somehow.

any input appreciated, thanks
