I don’t have a sump and I’m pretty sure I would rather go sumpless due to limited space.

Now you have a choice of hang on the tank options. That should narrow it down somewhat.

So any hang on filte, as long as it’s large enough, will work?

I would use a big Reed Octopus HOB Skimmer. I like the BH-2000
