I just picked up another cube so now we have his and hers tanks lol... It came with a protein skimmer and media basket... I don't think the skimmer is even working correctly and I don't have one on the other tank so I know I can survive without... I just wanna know what other methods are working for others... I'm planning on having a mixed reef with some beginner sps now that I have a light I know is powerful enough... Thanks

Hob or sump? You could always add a fuge, or even add decorative macro algae’s to the DT to help with nutrient uptake.
