Has anyone used Melafix in their reef tanks?
My Scooter Dragonet has what I believe to be Fin Rot. I know poor water quality is usually the culprit but in this case I'm not seeing it. I'm very consistent with WC and keeping my tank clean. Only thing I can blame would be my SB as I've never touched it in the almost 3yrs it's been running.
Parameters are:
Ca-480
Alk-11.2
Mag-1500
Ammonia-0
Nitrates-0
Nitrites-0
PH-8.2
Temp-79

FYI-I also lost a Target Mandarin a year ago to the same thing. No idea why Scooter has come down with it now after almost a year in my tank. She was eating great. Being fed 2-3x daily. All frozen foods.
Is it also possible that this particular bacteria is living within my SB? I do have a Fire Fish who is fine.

BUMP!

I've started using Maracyn 2. It's the FW one as no one around me has the Marine. She's in a QT bucket with heater & sponge filter.
