is there anyway to treat without placing in a quarantine tank because I can't get him out. Thanks in advance

Fin rot is a symptom of a bacterial infection. Two DT treatment options:

1. Soak fish food with a broad spectrum antibiotic such as Kanaplex. Use a binder, such as Seachem Focus, to prevent the med from leaching out into the water column, and also run carbon as an insurance policy just in case.
2. Soak fish food in vitamins (exs. Selcon, Zoecon, Vita-chem, or even just Omega 3 fish oil). The thought process behind this approach is to help boost the fish's immune system to deal with the infection naturally. Binding is not required with vitamins since they are not harmful (might even be beneficial) to corals/inverts.

However, neither of the above is as effective as dosing a QT with antibiotics so the fish's body can readily absorb the meds.

I've had good luck with medicated food. They dehydrate the food and then rehydrate it with medication so the food really soaks it in.

+1 I believe Dr G's "Anti Bacterial Frozen Fish Food" has kanamycin & metronidazole already mixed in. Saves you the hassle of doing it yourself.
